Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Analyst with extensive experience in the airline industry, specializing in e-commerce channels or Passenger Service Systems (PSS). This role involves developing test strategies, creating and executing both manual and automated test cases, and ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, actively engage in defect management, and mentor junior team members. A proactive approach to process improvement and quality assurance is essential.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory):
- Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the airline industry, with a focus on e-commerce channels / Passenger Service Systems (PSS) / air cargo booking systems.
- Testing Expertise:
- 4+ years in software testing, covering functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- 3+ years of website testing experience, including cross-browser testing.
- 2+ years of API testing experience (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) and UI testing.
- Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Appium) and mobile testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Perfecto Mobile).
- Experience in defect tracking, exploratory testing, and system regression testing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Python.
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, .NET, and basic web development concepts for creating test scenarios.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and tools like JIRA or VSO for defect tracking and reporting.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills and experience working closely with development teams to create detailed test reports and maintain documentation.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)
- Leadership: Experience mentoring and guiding QA team members to foster a collaborative and improvement-focused culture.
- Additional Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with holiday business processes, travel industry systems (e.g., Travel Box), and community management applications.
- Additional Testing Tools: Experience with cloud-based and performance testing tools, such as JMeter.
- Community Engagement: Contributions to technical communities or open-source projects on platforms like GitHub or StackOverflow.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4–6 years of experience in quality assurance, specifically within the airline or travel industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work both independently and within a team, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
