Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a strong focus on Tableau to design, develop, and maintain various BI applications, including dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, SQL, and Tableau functionalities, as well as the ability to ensure data integrity and optimal performance of BI tools.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory)
- Experience: 5 to 9 years in BI development, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Tableau.
- Tableau Proficiency: Strong skills in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server (preferably version 2023.1), including dashboard development and customization.
- SQL Skills: Proficient in writing efficient SQL queries, developing stored procedures, and managing relational databases.
- Data Management: Experience in data validation, cleansing, and manipulation, with a solid understanding of data warehousing practices.
- BI Solutions Development: Ability to design and implement BI solutions, ensuring data integrity and accuracy on published dashboards.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively understand and translate business requirements.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional)
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the airline domain is preferred.
- Additional BI Tools: Familiarity with other BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
- Tableau Administration: Experience in Tableau administration, including installation, upgrades, and performance optimization.
- Automation Skills: Knowledge of automation for deployment of data sources and workbooks, including scripting.
- Cloud Integration: Experience with AWS Redshift database integration and using Tableau Bridge and Prep.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Tableau architecture and server-side functionalities, with hands-on experience in performance diagnosis and optimization.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot performance issues and provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently on projects.
