Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced mid-senior Oracle Apps Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Oracle practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Oracle databases and ERP systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role includes collaborating with technical and functional teams to troubleshoot issues, managing user access, and implementing backup and recovery procedures.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory):
- Oracle Database Management: Extensive experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) and ERP Applications (R12.1, 12.2).
- Installation and Patching: Proficient in installation, patching, and upgrading of Oracle E-Business Suite R12, including online patching in EBS R12.2 and above.
- DBA Skills: Knowledge of AD utilities, cloning, patching applications and databases, concurrent managers, and sysadmin activities.
- Backup and Recovery: Expertise in RMAN, hot and cold backups, and establishing backup and recovery policies.
- Performance Tuning: Proven ability in performance tuning at both the database and application levels.
- Monitoring: Experience with monitoring databases using OEM and custom scripts.
- User Management: Skills in user creation, managing privileges, and ensuring database security.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze issues and propose effective solutions.
- Scripting: Experience in developing scripts for proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional):
- Cloud Technologies: Experience managing Oracle E-Business Suite in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and familiarity with OCI admin capabilities.
- Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of MongoDB and cloud data solutions.
- Middleware Skills: Additional skills in middleware technologies like SSO, OBIEE, WebLogic, SQL Server, and SOA.
- Networking: Understanding of VPN connectivity, VMs, and FTP servers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Database Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Oracle database administration and ERP systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Team Player: A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
